Oman Sail held an exclusive team building programme for the female employees of Oman Shipping Company to mark Omani Women’s Day and celebrate the achievements of women in Oman. 20 employees took part in classroom activities to learn communication, teamwork and decision-making skills then ventured out on to the water to build life rafts as a team, learn to sail and apply the new techniques to practical exercises using Oman Sail’s Corporate Personal Development programme.

Omani Women’s Day celebrates and recognises the contribution of females across the Sultanate, and provides the opportunity for Omani women to learn new skills and achieve at a high level. His Majesty Sultan Qaboos has described Oman’s female population as ‘half of Oman’s potential’ and by empowering females, Oman Sail’s Corporate Personal Development programme is equipping women with the skills needed to realise this potential.
