Gold and Silver fleets sparkle at RS:X World Championships in Oman as France and Poland lead the field in Fleet Final Series
The RS:X World Windsurfing Championships in Mussanah, Oman delivered another cracking day of competition for opening races of the Final Series. Winds that reached 13 kts mid afternoon for the Men’s racing was enough to create thrilling speeds both upwind and down and impressive tactical racing. With the newly formed Gold and Silver fleets – determined by rankings from the Qualifying Series earlier in the week – and the fact that for many countries, and sailors, this event acts as an Olympic qualifier, competition really intensified today.
