The Wave, Muscat on the podium again in Kiel30 August 2010
With three events of the Extreme Sailing Series now complete in France, UK and Germany, Oman Sails Extreme 40 The Wave, Muscat stay on the podium, finishing third overall in Kiel leaving them second overall for the series and still in contention for the overall title.

Kiel, Germany provided some truly tricky conditions for the two Oman Sail Extreme 40s on the penultimate day of racing in Germany of the Extreme Sailing Series. Oman Sail’s Masirah, had a good day on the water finishing second overall going into the final day of racing, their team-mates on The Wave, Muscat had an altogether more exciting day.

Ecover Sailing Team from Britain tops the leader board going into the penultimate day of racing 4 points ahead of Groupe Edmond de Rothschild from France. Oman Sail Masirah skipper, Loick Peyron, and his crew is 3rd overall, just ahead of The Wave Muscat that came in 4th.

OMAN AIR MAJAN Smashes round Britain and Ireland single handed record24 August 2010
At 09:03:55 GMT (13:03 local time Muscat) today (24/08/10) skipper Sidney Gavignet (FRA) onboard OMAN AIR MAJAN crossed the finish line off Lizard Point, Cornwall to smash the single-handed Round Britain and Ireland record. The A100 trimaran broke the existing record held by Thomas Coville by a massive 1 day 15 hours 30 minutes and 44 seconds.

Sidney Gavignet, skipper of the Arabian 100 trimaran Oman Air Majan, crossed the start line off the Lizard Point, Cornwall UK on Thursday (19/08/10) as he attempts to break the single-handed Round Britain and Ireland record. The record attempt forms part of his training for the single handed transatlantic Route du Rhum race later this year.

This year's Oman Sailing Summer School proved to be a huge success when over 60 applicants between the ages of 10 and 20 years from a variety of schools, institutions and work places attended the one week courses that were sponsored by Renaissance Services.
Oman Sail, The Wave, Muscat triumphs in Cowes06 August 2010
The final day of the Extreme Sailing Series at Cowes Week bought high tension and conditions challenging, 20-25 knots of wind, choppy sea state and the potential for the boats to capsize. The Wave, Muscat had led the regatta since day two and needed to continue their excellence form to win the event.

Hobie 16 National Championships
The weekend of the 1st-2nd October saw the Oman Hobie 16 National Championships taking place in the warm waters off Muscat. Three Oman Sail boats took part with Omani crews from the Academy.
